State Space Agency of Ukraine and Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency Sign a Memorandum to Explore Space Cooperation Possibilities

On October 23rd 2021, during the “UA Space Focus” event held at Ukraine’s Pavilion as a part of the topical “Space Week” at the Expo 2020 Dubai, the State Space Agency of Ukraine (SSAU) and the Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency (JAXA) signed a Memorandum on Cooperation to explore the possibilities for cooperation in space for peaceful purposes.

The Memorandum is a foundational treaty aimed at regulating priority issues of bilateral cooperation in space, such as exploring possibilities for conducting joint activities in the fields of space exploration, space science, remote probing of the Earth etc.

This event will reinvigorate the relations between Ukraine and Japan and facilitate genuine space cooperation.
