Information on Public Procurement
1. In accordance with the Law of Ukraine #922-VIII “On public procurement” from December 25, 2015, State Enterprise “EXPO – 2020” has announced an open bidding on the construction of the pavilion of Ukraine in Dubai (the United Arab Emirates) as a part of preparing and ensuring the participation of Ukraine in the World Expo 2020. The bidding will be held through “Prozorro”, Ukraine’s transparent digital procurement system.

In accordance with the Law of Ukraine #922-VIII “On public procurement” from December 25, 2015, State Enterprise “EXPO – 2020” has announced an open bidding on the procurement of engineering and consulting services for the purpose of managing the project and associated risks during the construction of the pavilion of Ukraine in Dubai (the United Arab Emirates) as a part of preparing and ensuring the participation of Ukraine in the World Expo 2020. The bidding will be held through “Prozorro”, Ukraine’s transparent digital procurement system.

3. In accordance with the acts passed at the Fourth Session of the Coordination Committee for Organizing and Ensuring the Participation of Ukraine in the World Expo 2020, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine announced an open competition to select the concept for the pavilion of Ukraine at the World Expo 2020. Additionally, the Ministry selected the members to make up a multi-departmental commission responsible for choosing the concept. The commission included the members of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, as well as the Embassy of Ukraine to the UAE.
The aforementioned announcement was published on the site of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine on August 5, 2019, and was widely circulated among the public and creative community. The announcement clearly stipulated the technical assignment for the concept and provided all the necessary data and criteria.
Following the rigorous selection process, the multi-departmental commission approved of the concept proposed by LLC “Concert-Technique” titled “Smart Ukraine: Life, Consciousness, Feelings” and forwarded it for further approval to the Coordination Committee. At the Fifth Session of the Coordination Committee for Organizing and Ensuring the Participation of Ukraine in the World Expo 2020, the overall concept of the pavilion of Ukraine at the World Expo 2020 was approved as “Smart Ukraine: Life, Consciousness, Feelings” as per suggestion of the multi-departmental commission.
The members of the Coordination Committee designated State Enterprise “EXPO – 2020” to complete procurement of the concept of the pavilion of Ukraine at the World Expo 2020 titled “Smart Ukraine: Life, Consciousness, Feelings” and the services for its further implementation from LLC “Concert-Technique” in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On public procurement”.

The Sixth Session of the Coordination Committee for Organizing and Ensuring the Participation of Ukraine in the World Expo 2020
An event of utmost importance for Ukraine Expo 2020 was held on July 14, 2020. This is referring to the Sixth Session of the Coordination Committee for Organizing and Ensuring the Participation of Ukraine in the World Expo 2020 at the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine. The Committee discussed and passed a number of strategic decisions, namely:
✔ The members of the Committee were updated on the current state of preparations, as well as the new dates of the World Expo 2020 following the postponement and the plans to complete the pavilion of Ukraine by the end of the year;
✔ Further steps necessary to ensure Ukraine’s participation in the World Expo 2020 were discussed and agreed upon, namely the arrangement and maintenance of the pavilion of Ukraine until the end of the year;
✔ Principal elements of the arrangement and content of the pavilion of Ukraine at the World Expo 2020 were also presented and approved.
