В рамках офіційного візиту Президента України та першої леді в ОАЕ відбулася презентація концепції павільйону України на Всесвітній виставці Expo 2020 Dubai, яка триватиме з 1 жовтня 2021 р. – 31 березня 2022 р. у м. Дубай.
Україна вперше на такому рівні, з будівництвом власного павільйону, презентуватиме свій потенціал та досягнення перед світовою спільнотою. На сьогоднішній день, перший етап будівництва павільйону завершено, ведеться підготовка наступних етапів. Робота павільйону у тестовому режимі запланована на серпень 2021р., а вже в жовтні цього року павільйон України відчинить свої двері для гостей з усього світу.
Основна мета участі України в Expo 2020 Dubai – це ребрендинг на рівні країни, як партнера з потенціалом для розвитку інвестиційного співробітництва світового масштабу. Для України участь у події такого масштабу надзвичайно важлива, адже відкриває нові горизонти та можливості для економічного, туристичного, промислового сектору, а також передбачає нові міжнародні зв’язки та ринки збуту.
Через концепцію та наповнення павільйону України є прагнення продемонструвати світовій спільноті діалог між минулим і майбутнім, унікальність культури, самобутність українського народу, традицій, крізь призму інноваційного мислення з використанням сучасних підходів до виставкового простору.
Характеристики павільйону України: 4 поверхи, 2600 кв. метрів, виставкові та сервісні зони, пристосований для відвідувачів із обмеженими можливостями. Павільйон України розташований в зоні Opportunity (Можливості). Країни-сусіди: Монако та Великобританія.
Концепція павільйону України: SMART UKRAINE: CONNECTING DOTS (СМАРТ УКРАЇНА: ЄДНАЮЧИ СВІТ). Україна знаходиться в діалозі зі світом щодо питань економіки, інвестицій, сталого розвитку, культурної дипломатії тощо. Концепція розкриває прагнення об’єднати точки СONNECTING DOTS задля того, щоб підхід СМАРТ згуртовував ідеї, думки, винаходи і проекти всього світу.
Український павільйон має форму пшеничного колоска. Зерно посаженне у землю – це початок нового циклу життя, пшеничний колос наповнений цими зернами – це зерна надії, нових ідей, проектів, людей – алегорія нового інноваційного мислення, яке об’єднується у колосі. Так в павільйоні об’єднуються думки, ідеї, люди та народжується діалог зі світом щодо глобальних викликів суспільства, які можна подолати тільки впроваджуючи ідеї СМАРТ-ЖИТТЯ, ПОЧУТТЯ, МИСЛЕННЯ. Елементи фасаду павільйону повторюють національний орнамент.
Павільйон України – це живий організм. Окрім виставкового простору планується насичена і різноманітна програма заходів у сферах культури, спорту, економіки, інвестицій, інновацій, туризму та інші. Четвертого жовтня 2021 року відбудеться Національний день України.

The concept of the pavilion of Ukraine at the World Expo 2020 Dubai was presented during the official visit of the President of Ukraine and the First Lady to the UAE
As a part of the official visit of the President of Ukraine and the First Lady to the UAE, a presentation of the concept of the Ukrainian pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai (October 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022) has taken place.
With the construction of the pavilion of its own, Ukraine will present its potential and achievements to the world community for the first time at such an event. To date, the first stage of the construction of the pavilion is completed. Preparations for the next stages are underway. The pavilion will start operating in a test mode in August 2021, and in October this year it opens its doors to the guests from around the world.
The main goal of Ukraine participating at the Expo 2020 Dubai is to represent the country as a partner with the potential to be a part of the global investment cooperation. Participation at the event of such magnitude is extremely important for Ukraine. It opens new horizons and opportunities for business, tourism and investments, as well as provides for the new international destinations and markets.
Through the concept and a content of the pavilion of Ukraine there is a desire to demonstrate, through the prism of the innovative thinking and using modern approaches to the exhibition space, the dialogue between the past and the future, the uniqueness of the culture, of the identity and the traditions of the Ukrainian people.
Technical characteristics of the pavilion of Ukraine are as follows: 4 floors, 2600 square meters. Exhibition and service areas are adapted for visitors with disabilities. The Ukrainian pavilion is located in the Opportunity zone. Neighboring countries are Monaco and Great Britain.
The concept’s logo goes as SMART UKRAINE: CONNECTING DOTS. Ukraine is in dialogue with the world on economic cooperation, investment, sustainable development, cultural diplomacy. The concept reveals the desire to bring together or to CONNECT DOTS (points on the map) so that the SMART approach will cohere ideas, thoughts, inventions and projects around the world.
The Ukrainian pavilion has the shape of a wheat ear. The grain planted in the ground is a symbol of the beginning of a new cycle of life. The wheat ear full of grains is an allegory of a new innovative thinking which unites the grains of hope, new ideas, projects and people. In this way, the pavilion unites the thoughts, the ideas, people, and creates a dialogue on global challenges of society, which can be overcome only by implementing the ideas of SMART LIFE, SMART FEELINGS and SMART THINKING. Elements of the facade of the pavilion repeat the national ornament of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Pavilion is a living organism. A diverse program of culture, sports, investment, innovation and tourism events is prepared for visitors. On October 4, 2021 the National Day of Ukraine will take place at the World Expo 2020 Dubai.
